Shawn Greenwood: Whiteness, Privilege, and Policing
The SGWG Working Group presents a workshop on the systemic aspects of race and class privilege in our community. We will specifically look at the ways neighborhoods and housing policies that privileged white people in the past continue to impact our present. We will engage in hands-on investigations of the ways race, space and place in Ithaca shape people’s life chances and opportunities.

In the future we plan on offering more community building events in addition to workshops, so please look out for those. We will also be hosting another workshop in February, which we will have more information about on the 27th.
